liquid diet

Well, day 10 of liquid diet. I'm actually used to it now. Do I WANT food? Yep..but am I hungry? Nope. And with surgery coming this monday, I have to adjust to not eating what and when I want. Feeling energetic, working out and excited about Monday. Can't wait to be sleeved and find out how the other half lives. Oh and down 13 pounds!!!

Awesome!!! 13lbs is such an awesome loss! I am on day 4 and have lost 4lbs so far. I don't have as much energy as you though...I def don't have enough energy to work out! Good job and good luck on Monday.

Thank you and good luck to you too! In another few days, you should feel more energetic. You definitely get used to it! When is your surgery?

You're doing great!  The liquids are the hardest part- I thought that stage would never end, but now, it already seems like a distant memory.  Best wishes for an easy surgery and recovery!

Thank you! A week ago I thought this was horrible! lol Now I'm just excited to be this near to surgery! It will be worth it in the end..that's what I keep telling myself to stay motivated!

I am not doing so good on mine.  I ate some salad today and some shrimp out of Mom's gumbo.

I am so bored sitting at home all day.  Stressed about not having a job in the next school year...etc.

but at least I am not drinking Starbucks and gallons of sweet tea!!!

It's mind over matter. Don't think about food. I lost my job two weeks ago, right when I started this. So I know how you feel sitting at home all day. It makes it more difficult. But do something to take your mind off of food. Go for a walk, join a gym (you'll need one anyway after surgery!) visit a friend, read a book, take up a hobby. You can't sit around bored, that's when we are inclined to eat.
You know the purpose of the liquid diet and "cheating" is not going to help us. Be strong...know you made a good decision and this is just part of it. You can do it!! And tell mom not to eat stuff like that in front of you if it's going to be a problem
And if you must "cheat" remember...keep it LOW fat and low to little carb. Chicken breast is a good choice. Try some sugar free popsicles..just remember, calories count and don't go overboard.
Come on! You can do this!!
