No energy, no appetite, no weight loss

I am 5months out and stuck at 230.  The good news is that it has not bothered me like previous stalls.  I guess I am taking comfort in know that it will pass.

I know I need to up my eating, not feeling food lately. I think I am pleased with my lack of desire to eat, since that has never really been an issue.  My restriction has changed.  I get full after 3-4 bites, that has not happened since month 1.  I can still drink a lot though.  I am keeping the liquids to shakes (Unjury), water and crystal lite.

Consitpation is my biggest issue, go figure. Thank God for Murilax.

I re-discovered my hip bones, during sex no less.  I was like there is something different, right beneath my skin, where my hips are...I really had that thought. I guess I thought they were lost forever.

Heres to rediscovering the woman and bones within, oh and great sex!!

Oh that's hilarious (the hip bones part) because just the other day I felt mine, still covered up though, and thought "there they are!" LOL.

I'd say if you aren't getting your protien in, your body is going to revolt and turn on itself. Maybe just focus on that bare minimum until this passes? If it keeps up, I'd go see the doc.  Good luck.

Remember that there are all kinds of transfer addictions. "being pleased with my lack of desire to eat" can be a symptom of anorexia nervosa. we sure don't want you to go the other extreme.

How many shakes a day are you drinking? If you are not drinking at least 4-5 you are starving yourself,literally. You will not lose fat doing this,but your body will start metabolizing your muscles and considering that your heart,lungs kidneys and muscles are muscles,you don't want to let this happen.

Make a plan ever night for the next day and even if you only eat 3-4 bites eat every few hours in addition to the shakes and other liquids.

Don't wait around being pleased that you have no desire to eat and drop dead one day from damaged heart muscle.

I did not think of that, being addicted.  But I am a bit too please with my lack of eating.  I will definitely keep an eye on it.  I am only doing 1 shake a day (to add Muralax to it), and a greek yogurt or two.  I am getting my water in though (needed to add a positive).

I dont get the comfort that I used to get from food.  that has been my big reason for eating less.  kinda whats the point.

Will do some meal planning tonight.

I'm not adding fuel to the fire or anything--but I think I would be pleased too if I had no appetite. When you're a food addict, the concept of "no appetite" does not apply and is almost an unfathomable notion. I would just try to add 1-2 more shakes with maybe 2% or Vit. D milk? I'm not a nutrition expert by any means and don't try to be...actually I hope my restriction increases! Good Luck, Fay!

It used to be unfathomable for me too.  Now I eat when nauseaous or light headed.  Will get back on schedule, soon.

It is great that you are getting your water,but it is non nutritive.

For the menu you posted:
1 protein shake,
2 greek yogurts

That is a total of 380 calories and 60 gm of protein

These are estimates of course not knowing the brands you are using to see exactly how much cals and proteins are in them.

This is essentially a starvation diet;less than 500 cals a day is,literally,starving.

The point to eating is what we wi**** had always been for us: eat to live not live to eat. You have accomplished this. This is great. Now the smart side of you should jump in and say "ok,I don't care what I am eating but I AM going to eat,mostly protein,(cause if you don't care about food might as well be the most healthy thing for you right now,right? ) because I didn't have this surgery to give myself serious problemsTHAT CAN'T BE REVERSED, by being foolish.

Please take care of yourelf. I can almost promise you if you eatsome dense protein,plus several shakes,plus the greek yogurt,plus all the water you are already drinking ,you will begin to lose again.

I am so afraid you are not going to take me seriously. Just so you know I am not talking out my butt,I have a medical background and I seriously am not kidding.

It is perfectly all right and good even to be pleased that you have no desire to eat. The problem comes when you are ACTING on that pleased feeling,see?

You can be pleased and still nourish your body,see where I am going? You have achieved the ultimate with your surgery;to not care about eating,but you have to eat to continue that success.
