How to make yourself eat when you're not hungry
So... I'm 3 months out, and from almost day 1 I still had "hunger". If I didn't have a small meal every 3-4 hours, I would get ravenous.
Over the past few days, I haven't been hungry at all at breakfast time, and barely hungry for lunch. I am having a really hard time forcing myself to eat breakfast. I eat it, but I really have no urge to. For lunch, I'm a tad hungry, but now lose the urge to eat after maybe 1 ounce of chicken. Maybe I'm finally starting to lose my hunger? I'm finding myself turning to eating an ounce of jerky and a nonfat latte (my favorite foods) for breakfast and lunch, and that just can't be good for me! :)
So, my question to you lucky folks out there with no hunger- how do you get yourself motivated to eat? I don't think living on jerky and latte's is good for me :)

I have days like this too.. Sometimes I just have my protein supplements and don't sweat it.. I still don't "eat" breakfast, never have.. just a loaded protein coffee. I am rarely hungry (it does happen occasionally) so for me it's more of a schedule thing.. I schedule my foods, and plan what they are to hit my nutrition needs.. dinner seems to be the only one I really am nibbly for and half the time my sleeve is snugger in the evening! Ugh. :) Pre surgery, I'd never get an appetite until 2pm, then it was a strong need to eat till bed.
I went as far as to create a schedule for food/nutrient intake down to the hour.
I am terrified of eating when I'm not hungry, probabaly 1/3 to 1/2 of my intake comes from supplementation. I refuse to force myself to eat. Drinking...well that's something I can get used to I guess.
On my weight lifting days I know how much I need to ta\ke in overall, slightly less on my running days. Either way, if I'm not hungry I always have a shake or bar ready to consume to stay healthy and active.
If you're not hungry, you don't necessarily force yourself to eat. Just try to schedule your intake to make sure you stay on track.

I think that if I continue to have problems motivating myself to eat breakfast, I'll just do a protein shake. A protein shake has to be more nutritious than an once or two of yogurt... :)
