I tried a tablespoon of instant coffee in my protein shake and it was something like Starbucks!

I didn't have a pre-op diet that my surgeon gave me. He just asked I lose between 10-20lbs. I did lean meats and veggies and cut back on my portions. If you have only 2 weeks until your surgery then the liquid diet may be the only way to obtain that much weightloss. You can buy a huge container of Light Muscle milk protein to make shakes at target. DOn't remember the cost but pretty cheap, maybe $25? It should be enough to get you through 2 weeks......it's a huge bottle.  God luck  THey also have it and others at Costco

I know the protein shakes seem expensive however if you look at them as a meal replacement, which they would be at that point, then they aren't too expensive.  Also, you'll need something like that post op as well for several weeks.

The premier protein shakes they sell at Cost****hocolate only) are wonderful.  I've also read posts about adding a spoonful of lowfat peanut butter to chocolate shakes for variety.

My diet is low carb 30gm up until 2 days prior to surgery. 2 days before I do bowel cleanse and clear liquids only. You only have 2 weeks so I would say crack down...go atkins induction which is only 20gm carbs...and you can not cheat at all! 2 weeks is pushing it but if you are dilligent you can do this.
