Benefits of being a Slow Loser

Ok so I am almost certain that I am one of the slowest losers on OH.  For those of us who are challenged in the Loss Dept I thought I would start a list of the BENEFITS of Slow Weight Loss (there has to be some, plus it will make me feel better).

- Less saggy skin
- slower hair loss (unproven but I am desperate)
- You can fake like you DID NOT have surgery
- You have more time to save money to replace your clothes
- We make the FAST losers feel good (no really a benefit, maybe its a good deed)

Can you think of any other benefits???

I wouldn't consider losing 53 pounds in under 6 months SLOW!!! Congratulations, keep up the good work!

I guess I am embracing my surgeon's standards.  According to him I am about 20#s behind.

I am happy with my weigh loss pace, of course I wish I were done already.  But Rome was not built in a day.

I think in my case, I didn't drastically limit calories or carbs.  I don't think I slowed my metablolism down as much as I would have if I had lost faster on a more restricted diet.  The benefit of this comes in when it is maintenance time even if it takes a thousand years to get there.

I have "enjoyed" all of the benefits you listed also!

Thats a good positive.  I think maintenance will be easier because I eat carbs(and some jun****assionally).  I guess I am learning to balance it out after all.

I hear ya Sistah! I've considered myself a slow, but steady loser. Today marks 8 months for me. Last month, I only dropped 3 lbs (more like 9 lbs if you count gaining and losing the same lbs a couple times)

No other way to say it.........pretty much......it just ****** me off!!

I like your outlook....positive in everything right!! Especially being able to fake like we didn't have surgery. Love it!!
But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. ~2 Chronicles 15:7

Sometimes it feels like one big stall.  I love oh you said 9 pounds.  They all count, you had to lose them more than once. so

Well - how about  Misery Loves Company...hello, Company.
Yes, losing slowly pretty much sucks - but at least it's still LOSING, right?
I'm so glad to hear that others are also losing slowly, I thought I was different - so thanks for posting!
