VSG in Mexico: "Hospital" Jerusalem/Mt. Zion Medical

Since many ppl come on the VSG forum while they are researching VSG in Mexico, I wanted to point something out. As many of you know there seem to be a lot of infections/leaks that come out of Dr. Almanza's "hospital". I noticed that "Hospital Jerusalem" is now going by another name as well: Mt. Zion Medical.

This is incorrect, they are still going my Jerusalem Hospita...Mt Zion Medical is a woman who has set up a business as a patient coordinator and refers patients to this clinic.  I had my surgery there and still keep intouch with the patient liason Louise Johnson.  By working with this group of doctors and signing a contract the coordinators all over the world can use there info and pictures.

Calli it's misleading though. I found out about Mt. Zion Medical from another Lap-Bander that is also hoping to revise to VSG. She is aware of the reputation of Jerusalem clinic, but the way the web page loads it identifies it as Mt. Zion Medical. She thought this was a seperat facility in TJ. I just wanted to make others that might be considering VSG in Mexico aware that they are one in the same.

May I first say that I had my surgery at  Hospital Jerusalem and has had no problems.  I had surgery along with four others  who i keep in contact with and they have had no problems . So may I ask did you have a problem with them or knows some one who did.

No I've never had a problem with them. But I know of many who did. I spent a lot of time reading on the Mexico forum, and I have read many horror stories. Glad things worked out well for u though.

Hi, may I ask if you and your other contacts still feel you had a good and valuable experience from mt zion? Do you know who I would contact to get more info? Also what were the costs. I am planning this procedure and I'm looking for a place that is affordable yet safe. Thank you.
