Has anyone ever felt that they've stretched their sleeve?...
Santos, in my losing stage I avoided ALL carbs, and I didn't care how "healthy" they were. A carb was a carb, and all they did was take up space in my sleeve that I could use for protein. Whole complex carbs are better options, and it really depends on what your post-op, losing guidelines are for optimal weight loss.
Funny thing is that in maintenance, I can't tolerate brown rice at all. It makes me feel bloated, and my sleeve just can't tolerate it. As for bread, our entire family only eats whole grain/whole wheat bread for sandwiches now, but I'm in maintenance so it's a little different now since I am not in losing mode.

I eat a slice of 100% whole wheat bread or opatmeal a few days a week, and it hasn't stopped me from losing. In particular, it's homegrown tomato sandwich season, and I gotta have them! Of course I can only hold a sandwich with 1 piece of bread now. I do make sure any bread or the like is 100% whole grain. If you don't see "100%" on the label, then it's still mostly white flour that will jack up your blood sugar and let it drop again too fast, thus making you hungry agasin real fast.
