hunger after the sleeve?

I never experienced anything remotely close to hunger until I was about 6 months out.  Now what I describe as "hunger" is more a feeling that I need to eat instead of my presurgery feeling of "hunger" which I would describe as an all consuming driving force to devour.  Hope that makes sense.

I don't get hungry very often.  When I think I feel hunger I try a few things...  First I try and make myself burp.  That sometimes works.  If not, I try drinking water.  That sometimes works.  If it doesn't, I'll eat about 3 almonds and that will usually kill it.

I have noticed that if I don't take my daily Prevacid that I can start to get gas, which can mimmick hunger.

i am almost 2 years out...  i don't feel hungry like i did pre-op....   those were insane, "i'm starving even though i just ate a half hour ago" feelings...  that is the biggest blessing of this surgery -- the insanity is gone...

i still deal with head hunger, where i want to eat something even though i am not physically hungry....  or i am in a social setting and there is still more food around and i want to eat it because it tastes so damn good...  i'm working on dealing with that....

2.5 weeks out and I do get hungry, but it is different... sometimes it does feel like sort of regular hunger, but much easier to control...

When I really need to eat I get cranky and hungry feeling... it feels very similar to the way I'd feel on strict low carb diets... I know I need to eat... but I could take it or leave it except I want to be rid of the "need to eat" feeling... it's generally if I've gone 4-5 hours without anything...

In general I'm hungry about every 2-3 hours, but I'm mindful to stick to my meal/snack plan.  The hunger is different after surgery in that it's not as overwhelming as before surgery.

My biggest issue is around my TOM when I still get extremely hungry around this time.  Again I stick to the rule to only eat to my meal/snack plan, and it's generally ok.

I haven't felt hunger since the night before surgery. Not even a little rumble. I'm still in shock on that one.

It sounds lke a blessing, but sometimes I forget to eat. Which isn't good either.

This is a complete 180. Before I was starving all of the time. If I missed a meal even by an hour it was torture. It all seems so strange and abstract not to feel that anymore.
