What are the April 2011 sleevers up to?
Enjoying my sleeve that is for sure!!
How about you?
Found any new recipes or food find that you can't live without?
My new favorite is Corned beef in a can, 15 grams of protein in 2 ounces and add a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and you have 27 grams of protein at one sitting and NO protein shakes!! Yippee!!
Having trouble finding time for exercise and eating, hoping that will change soon.
And...and.. I am a new Support Group Leader!! I took the classes here on OH last month, thought I would get a badge on my profile but that's okay, it is official!!

Hello, I had my sleeve on April 19Th and had a pretty uncomfy but uneventful recovery.
I am trying to learn to eat with my sleeve. I eat almost nothing and then try to fit in a protein shake. I cant eat more than 1 ounce at a sitting unless it is soup. My surgeon is scheduling a scope for me to see why.
My labs go back and forth with needing more of this and then when that is under control, I need more of that. LOL Right now I'm anemic and on Iron pills.
Good news is I am down about 56 lbs and I still have till the 19Th before I'm 4 months out and hope to be at 60 lbs lost. My big goal is to lose 100 lbs this year!
I don't attend support groups although I think I may start soon. I went to a couple and they all had the rny and much of what they talked about didn't apply to me.
All in all I am happy with my decision!

Start your own support group!! I did!! We are meeting in a few minutes actually. I went to a support group meeting in my area and they did the same thing, they had no idea what us "sleevers" needed. It was all about the Gastric Bypass and they were giving conflicting information about the sleeve. I took the classes on OH to be a support group leader and so glad I did. I have my surgeon sending people to my support group. We will be discussing about our new location for meetings tonight it has grown so much!!
Hope things get better for you soon!
I had my sleeve on 4/25/11 and am down 50 lbs. I went from size 24 to 16 pants and am wearing XL shirts. Just came back from vacationing across Oregon and Washington where we did alot of browsing uphill and downhill through the woods and hiked 600 stairs up into caverns. I came back from vacation 4 lbs lighter in one week and ate whatever I wanted. Life is glorious and I loooove my sleeve!
