Most common complications with the sleeve?
You know everyone will tolerate the surgery differently. I ended up getting cdiff and colitis post op from the antibiotic I was given in surgery. I went back in for 5 days and sent home on a picc line and iv antibiotics and TPN. It wasn't the surgery that was the problem but my body can't tolerate antibiotics any longer causing a severe reaction.
I think doing the research is good however dwelling on every bad story it isn't something I would take into account. I think that you need to look at the positives of what will happen and how you will feel emotionally and physically.
Good Luck with everything.

Thanks Purp8! Sorry to hear about your reaction to antibiotics! I'll be self pay if I revise to the sleeve, so I feel like I need to know the worst case scenarios. I hope that my surgery would be complication free, but I also know that things happen. I've read so much postive about the sleeve, which Is great, but I felt I needed to find out about possible complications too.

Jaque,
The only reason I mentioned the hiatal hernia is because I didn't know if it had anything to do with the stomach "twisting". I know she had the hernia before surgery and it wasn't a complication. I had never heard of a stomach "twisting" and having a stent put it. I figured it was a very unusual thing, but that's why I came here to make sure.
Thanks,
Amy
