French yogurt?

I just saw an ad for Yoplait French yogurt.   What is this?   I love Greek yogurt, but not the Yoplait brand, but never heard of French yogurt.  I googled it and could not find info.   Just wondering if it would be an alternative to break things up...

I don't know what Yoplait French yogurt is like, but the yogurt I buy in Paris - or anywhere in Europe - is so much better than American yogurt I don't buy it here any more. I buy a bunch and bring it home with me. So maybe it IS good. Wouldn't take much to improve on American yogurt.

I agree, it would not take much to improve the mass-marketed American yogurts!
And, anything French sounds good.     What is different about the European yogurt?

I only caught the tail end of the commercial on TV, so did not hear anything much that they said, but I did see the two different containers, one of French, one of Greek.

Guess we'll have to wait for it to be in the stores and try it out!    Greek yogurt is so much better than American, so if French is even better than Greek, what a bonus!

Are you sure the ad wasn't just advertising yoplait? because they're "french" and their ads used to just be about their french yogurt being the best.

Anyways, if you google french style yogurt, you get a lot of discussions about different yogurt types... very interesting!

I'm a big fan of chobani. i should own stock in the company.

It could be, I only caught the tail end, but they showed 2 containers, one labled French yogurt and the other Greek yogurt.    Don't know for sure.  Maybe I'll see the ad again :).

Hummm,  I googled some more and found that Dannon Activia has French and Greek yogurts.   Maybe the ad was for Dannon, not Yoplait, my bad!

I just cut out a few coupons for the new Dannon French style. I'm not sure what it is but it just looks like a creamy yogurt with fruit in a fancy container. I will try it out because I got the coupon. If it's good as far as taste and nutrition I will let you know!
