I am feeling much better. Hubby and I are going to Tanger and Mall Of LA today. It use to be for the that quesadillas(sp?) were the go to food for me. It looks like Fajitas will be mine from now on.

Thanks Angelle,  Can't wait to see you too at the conference, we will have to meet somewhere or plan to meet somewhere.

My go to Mexican food is and has always been fajitas. This week alone, I've eaten fajitas 4 times, yes some of it is because of the pregnancy, but I've always relied on fajitas when eating Mexican food. Grant it, at over 2 years out, I do eat part of a tortilla, but before I allowed carbs in, I just ate the meat, cheese, beans, with the sour cream.

If you are released raw veggies, or have tried lettuce, you can actually wrap the meat/beans in a lettuce rather than tortillas. I just ask for a few lettuce leafs instead of tortilla if they are available.

I am unfortunately not on raw veggies yet, but the lettuce leaves are a great idea.

Thanks, and Fajitas are going to be my go to food it seems from now on.. I did see on the App. menu some jerky chicken I might look into those too..

I do love fajitas though/

Thanks for the ideas

I second the motion on fajitas - they have all the right things in them and little that's bad. Soft tacos are another good one that I have had, just eating the insides and leaving the tortilla behind.

my family and i went out for dinner and i got the childs meal, and i only had a little of that!
just thought you might want to think about a smaller portion without paying the high prices of a full meal..

I went to a Mexican restaurant last friday. I haven't looked at their menu but here is what I did.

I ordered a fajita salad with no sour cream or guac, but extra pico de gallo.  No dressing.  I used the pico and salsa as the dressing. If fajita salad is not on the menu, then get fajita and send back (or ask not to bring tortilla) and ask for extra lettuce instead.

I decided that the meat was enough for two meals so I put half aside (and brought home).  Then I started eating meat first with occasional bites of pico de gallo and lettuce. I ate very slow. While talking to people you can get caught up in the conversation and eat too much. Put the fork down occasionally and just participate in the discussion.

I love Mexican food!  Have fun.
