I am curious- how many ounces of something like chicken breast- just dense protein can you eat now? That video is Alvarez, and yes- stomach length does make a huge diff as does sleeve shape.

1.  Nothing other than having it done sooner.

2.  The whole process has exceeded my expectations.  The surgeon and staff have been fantastic and incredibly supportive.

Surgery: 7/30/11

At this point all is Awesome except I'm stalled :/

I'm probably in the minority, but my father had the surgery in December so I got to see first hand what happened before I did it myself.

Also I read a book called "Successful Weight Loss with The Gastric Sleeve" by Dr. Guillermo Alvarez.  It answered almost all the questions that I didn't see first hand.

1) My surgery was 8/2. I wish I would have sampled more protein drinks. I'm going to go bald soon probably from the lack of protein. Finally I found that chocolate Unjury is the only one I can stand. I gave all my nasty ones to my sister for her workouts. I also wi****old my job I needed 2 weeks, instead of trying to pu**** I had to call them and tell them there was no way I'd make it. I wi****ook measurements.

2)I actually am surprised at the small amount of food I can eat. Right now it is about 1- 1 3/4 ounces depending on consistency. When something tastes yummy it kind of sucks not being able to fini**** But I guess that is a good thing!

I expected to know for sure when I am full and to definitley know if I am hungry. Getting to my full point is weird. Like I start to feel a tiny bit of pressure and let out a little burp. But it is not the same feeling before surgery and not the same satisfaction. Maybe when I can eat solids it will be easier?

I also expected that I had all the answers but now I find myself wondering about certain foods that are not clearly stated in my surgeon's guide and that I failed to ask about during my preop diet.

You're losing hair because your body is experiencing a huge shock--NOT because you think you aren't getting enough protein in. But having said that, remember the initially the first 7-14 days all you really have to worry about is water (and that's tough enough), and then by the time you're ready to move onto mushies then you've got to be able to get all your protein in AND the water.

Please understand that almost everyone experiences this hair loss--at different degrees. Some aren't happy with the hair they lose--for me, I could have cared less. I knew it would grow back and it did. It does stop the "twice as much in the shower every day than before surgery" thing after a few months.

PLEASE take measurements TODAY! You'll be shocked no matter what. Keep measuring, especially when you have a stall so you can see you're still shifting/changing even when the scale doesn't move.

Hi   I am glad you finally found a protein drink you could tolerate.
About the job thing, That one is a hard one because financially people  still
need to return early   etc etc etc....  instead of taking the 6 weeks off.

Keep practicing eating with the baby spoons.  Before you know it, It will feel
weird eating out of a big spoon.  Your new fullness is in your chest just like
you describe.  And when your hungry, you dont want to feel hungry like before
because we get to the point of head crazies.  You just want to pay attention to
meal times and eat your measure control portion.  Your doing great getting to
know this about you.    But I just want you to know, that I so can relate to what your
saying about feeling hungry and full before and how its different now.

I was the same way about certan foods after surgery even though I went to options and
my BSG.  All of a sudden, I was like a dear in headlights wondering what to do.
Also the mixed information I received between options, BSG and Here on OH.

OH has saved me....
