Eating dinner alone

My family eats too fast and then I am left to eat alone.  No fun!  At least they help with the dishes!  Also it is hard at restaurants when with a group to remember to eat slow - but then I remember to talk more  - which leads to me not eating at all! LOL  I will figure it out eventually!   Just wanted to vent!  Thanks for listening!

If it helps any, remember some of us eat all meals alone, 98% of the time, and we do fine.

I eat alone as well. I was sleeved last wednesday and i find it's the only way not to be "emotional" about the fact that they are eating things I can't have: even the healthy stuff. I basically eat runny oatmeal or grits and take my protien in a sugar free jello. I understand WHY i am doing what I am doing however, it still doesn't negate the fact that they are eating chicken or green beans or whatever....lol.
