My NSV from yesterday backfired!! Plz give advice! ( Long rant)

 um..he shouldn't be screaming at you either.  

I have not heard anyones posting to suggestions or any response anyone has given you.  If you trust the individuals that told you this I will share with you what I will do.  I would copy him and his superior on the conversation you had today with him.  I would also add that he spoke about someones marriage failing.  I would also make him aware that there is a code of ethics each discipline has to adhere to and if you hear any more gossip you would have no choice than to take it a step further.  Make sure you document for your records the names of the individuals that said this to you.  Try not to involve them in this because it sounds like he might not want to take this anywhere because it sounds like he did say something.  Once you begin to put things on record it should keep him on his toes.  You do not need to take any drug test or prove anything to him.  In the event that he puts you through that humiliation you have grounds for a law suit.  Remember he is not your friend, he is your boss.  Ethically speaking you are not to be concerned about how he feels about this.  Yes, its important to have a good relationship with your coworkers or supervisors but this does not mean that you should have to put up with defamation of character.

There are HIPAA laws that protect you. At the very least, he is poisoning the workplace with his gossip. At worst, he is a compulsive liar and should be fired. His recent behavior indicates that he cannot be trusted, and his behavior has compromised his effectiveness on the job. Go to the super, go straight to the super, do not pass Go...

That type of bull**** is the exact reason why I told everybody I was having weight-loss surgery. If I hadnt, I would have been either a "crackhead" or sick and ready to die. Since I wasnt havin none of the nonsense, I told and most of the comments have been nothing but positive. In reference to your boss, he needs to be reported fast! This telling everyone's business to everyone has to stop! Kids hear rumors and they dont care whether its true or not, they will run with it, then parents hear about it, and so on and so on.....Respect is lost and job security comes into play. You must let the Super know and make sure it's in writing, in case you have to file anytype of harrassment charges.
