Hi All,
I have a appt. to get my hair high lighted, before our family reunion. Just want to ask, since I have told you all about 1/2 of my hair falling out. Would it be wise to get what hair I have left high lighted, would that make my hair fall out even faster or would it make my hair look thicker? Maybe one of you all had this done while losing hair. Thank you all so much.
God Bless

I have gotten my hair colored and high lighted several times since surgery.  As long as you use an experienced stylist, i dont see a problem. I always ask for a deep conditioner, and it makes a world of difference in the texture of my hair. I think it will be fine, and it makes you feel so good when your hair looks nice.

I found that highlighting made my hair look thicker and fuller during the period when I was losing a lot post-op. Good Luck!

I never stopped coloring my hair. I think it gives texture.

I have highlighted my hair since surgery and the funny thing is my hair is growing like crazy. Happy to see you are losing sorry have not e-mail a lot going on. No excuse though.

Yep you get those highlights, it definately makes the hair look fuller because it causes the hair shaft to "plump" up a bit. I've done home hair dye jobs for years and never had any extra hair loss. You just go and strut your stuff!
