I think that I have hit my first plateau!

I went for my 1 month post op appointment and it does not seem like the scale has moved. The nurse says that I may have hit my first plateau! I am a little frusterated.  I have lost about 25 lbs in one month (according to their scale) I follow my scale and it is about 28 lbs. She seems to think that the plateau is caused by the lack of protein that I am NOT getting in.  UGH! Why is that does anyone know? I am not on a time schedule as far as eating is concerned. I have started exercising it is just the protein shakes that I am having a hard time getting in. I think it is the taste. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe today and picked up a Protein Blitz fruit punch flavor 30 g of protein in each bottle and it was actually pretty good. I think that I will try those. They are a little pricey  ($30.00 for 12 bottles) but if that what it takes for me to get in the protein then so be it.

Hey Gia - you are doing great - 25 lbs - WTG!

It will move again - trust me!  Make sure your moving - walking or some exercise - and getting in all your liquids.  What keeps me on target protein wise is low fat moz. sticks - 8 g protein each.  I eat two for breakfast every day for an easy 16 g.  They really help ensure i get all i need in!

Get yourself on a schedule for eating - it really helps - I do 7 - 8  breakfast, 11 - 12 lunch, 2 - 3 snack, 6 - 7 dinner and if I feel like it a small snack 930 - 10.  It really helps me not "cheat" and keeps me getting my protein in!  (without shakes or drinks)

Good luck!

I had a hard time getting my protein in as well and my nut gave me a suggestion of crystal light and water mixed and then add unflavored protein powder - it is a lighter and fruity protein drink instead of thick and milkshake like.
