HELP!
I'm 6 months out and see myself starting to adapt bad habits...again. I know I've got to stop myself before it gets out of hand. I've lost 85 pounds so far but want to lose an additional 50-70 lbs depending on if you ask me or my surgeon. Has anyone else had this lull in weight lose and how did you handle getting back on track?

Gosh not sure. I'm 2 months out and my head has been tempting me so I'm just focusing on my goals.
I also have a counselor/theapist, so I can talk to him when things are tough. We meet regularly but not weekly unless I feel I need more appointments.
Do you have someone with experience with food issues to talk to? That's where I'd start. If you see bad habits and weight loss slowed, it's probably tied together.
I'm sure when I'm in your place I'll be struggling with similar issues. I think once we get past the stage of barely eating, it's easier for those habits to return. Just stay focused on the goal.
Also I know for me, being free of carbs makes my cravings less, maybe revert back to under 20 carbs, at least 70g protein and log your calories?

A friend of mine, who is an RN & works for a bariatric surgeon, told me when she feels herself slipping into bad habits or gaining weight, she goes back to the post-op diet, and progresses thru the stages (clear liquids, full liquids, pureed foods, soft foods, regular diet) again. This seems to get her back on track.
