I used to add a little grape or cranberry juice to my water.  I have days that I don't get all mine in.  Sometimes I drink milk instead, as long as my calories allow.

I have not tried adding juice. Thanks for the tip.

I have days like this. Some days I do decaf chai tea with a bit of milk and SF vanilla syrup. Other days it's the snapple diet peach tea (powder that you mix in), others it's decaf coffee w/some SF syrup (loving butter rum right now) and a splash of cream. OK, let's be real... some days it's half-caff... but whatever.

My Nut says not to drink any caffiene until you have your 64oz in. Caffeine dehydrates you, so you have to have met the H2O needs first.

Yeah, caffeine doesn't "count" toward your 64oz... but I drink around 100+ so I don't sweat it. It's a diuretic, so in theory could dehydrate you if you drank enough.  My surgeon says no caffeine ever (as in, for life)... but he also says no carbs of any kind, no sweets or sugar substitutes, and no alcohol for life. *sheesh* What a kill-joy.  I can handle the no-carb thing... but no wine or coffee??? Seriously, what is this man THINKING???

I was a MAJOR caffeine addict before, and weaned off before surgery... it's creeping back in. I tried to stay away from the real stuff, but recently discovered Keurig's (Green Mountain brand)Wild Mountain Blueberry coffee... *swoon* It's so amazing! Needless to say, it's not half-caff, so I'm FORCED to brew a cup of decaf and mix it... and drink 2 cups of coffee.

I'm not post op but trying to switch to nothing bu****er now so it isn't a shock after.  I purchased the MIO stuff.  It's a bit spendy but it goes a looooong way.  You only have to put one or two drops in to add a bit of flavor.  It is sweatened with sucralose.  I haven't run it past my NUT yet so take that as you will.

I feel you !!! Water is the hardest thing for me to get in too. On a really good day, I will get in about 32 ounces. But I'm really trying it has been a stuggle.  Because I'm not drinking enough I have been having trouble with constipation. Sometimes if I keep a cup of iced water I could sip on it better. Well if you come across something helpful let me know.

Except for the last week I have been drinking my 8+ glasses, and I still get constipated.  I guess my cup or two of coffee may subtract from the water.

I try changing the temp of the water from time to time.  i have also changed water bottles...desperation!
