I can take tylenol, prilosec so those are pills right. So why is it when i take a vitamin I end up in the bathroom a few minutes later hugging the toilet? I have been taking gummy vitamins but since im about 6 weeks out I thought I would try to switch. Im hoping to be able to take real vitamins at some point and save those calories. Any suggestions?

Do you take your vitamins with food? Some people have issues with multi vitamins On an empty stomach. The gummy ones probably were ok because they have calories and carbs and pills . Hope this helps! If not then go back to the gummys got awhile.

Multi vitamins have always made my tummy upset, so I still take gummy vitamins called Multi-vites from Walmart or Costco. I'm 7 months out, why switch if you don't need to?

I dont take them with food because I cant drink when i eat. And I dont take the prilosec or tylenol with food either. OOf! I only worry about the extra calories in the gummies ....is that silly? Cuz i actually LIKE them lol

I don't drink with my meals either but I take my multis a half hour after I eat (when I can start drinking again). I'm sure there is at least something still in my stomach and that way I don't get nauseous.

I take a chewable multivitamin (I hate the taste and am looking for another option). Have you tried those?

I do the Trader Joe's adult chewable, I take it twice a day. It's not bad; I've been taking it for over a year now and still not sick of it.

YESS hate the taste of vitamins so I chew them fast and swallow with water.

BUT my dietician warned that gummy vitamins not good for sleeve. AND that they should be "complete" with at least 20 vit/minerals listed.

Good luck~ Jan

I had the same problem. Honestly, I had a LOT of nausea anyway the first 6 weeks or so. I ended up increasing my PPI to 2X per day. This brought my nausea down, and I switched to the centrum complete adult chewables (orange flavored). It's the only one so far (even as a pre-op) that doesn't send me running to the bathroom.
