Feeling "normal"
Shopping in any store I want and actually having choices.
Not being the biggest girl in the room.
Getting complements daily from friends, strangers and co-workers on how great I look.
Feeling healthy- being healthy-no more diabetes no more HBP medicine.
Crossing my legs
Sitting Indian style
Feeling and seeing my collar bones
Being hit on by men
People actually look me in the eyes and speak to me
Being able to wear my seat-belt
Riding rides at Hershey with my nephew
Taking the time to dress nice, do my hair and make-up and feel damn good when I leave my house.
Wearing high-heels all day and feeling fine.
Buying my first pair of knee high boots.
Being able to move across a crowded room and not have to worry I am not going to fit
Self-esteem
Being able to do Yoga
Wearing knee high socks
Shopping at Victoria's Secret-being able to wear a under-wire bra in comfort
Knowing I will NEVER EVER shop at Lane Bryant ever again!
Being able to buy jewelry
I can go on forever! :)

Low-normal blood pressure (it was high)
Normal cholesterol
Normal blood sugar
Tremendously reduced knee pain
No sleep apnea
Crossing my legs
Shopping in regular stores for clothes
Feeling confident in a job interview (I got the job, wouldn't have had the nerve at 319 lbs)
Hiking
Biking
Sitting in any seat/booth without worrying whether I'll fit
Borrowing my daughter's hoodie (it's cold out today!)
Painting my toenails
Shaving my legs in a tiny cramped showerstall
Tucking in shirts
Not being the heaviest one in the room
Not feeling stared at

Absolutely most amazing, best, most wonderful thing that has happened to me, my family, my life post-VSG. All the other things are fabulous don't get me wrong, but this right here is by far the BESTEST ! ! !
A healthy, thriving, developing little Tater Tot, and a body that hasn't given out during pregnancy. Healthy weight gain, ability to safely conceive without medical intervention, provide my growing baby with a decreased risk of being obese, having diabetes, and other obesity-related diseases and conditions because I was a healthy and normal weight before, and during my pregnancy. November 1st, she'll make her fabulous arrival ! ! !

you know what usaf wife? i loved everyone's responses but yours was the one that hit me closest to home. after suffering with infertility (unexplained) for several years, trying artifical inseminations 3 times and thousands of dollars on fertility meds and shooting myself in the stomach with them, this is probably the main reason i decided to do this. I'm now 35 and want children more than anything, and just to hear all the good reasons why your VSG helped with this pregnancy, gave my husband and i much to look forward to.
thanks everyone for your NSV's and motivation! i'm going to look at this thread daily to keep my mind in the right place.

Awwww Jessica, I am so happy that my journey can give someone else hope! ! ! Honestly, conceiving, and having a healthy pregnancy was the #1 driving force behind me having WLS. You'll love the sleeve, and all the wonderfulness it brings to your life will amaze you. I'll keep you in my thoughts ! ! !
