Sleevie has a way of reminding me..

Today has been my worst day as a new sleeve patient.

This morning I had a couple bites of eggs but of course could not hold more. I forgot vitamins/prilosec and started on a bottle of water. Go and get my son from school to have my hubby call me and tell me he found the car for us (we have been looking to trade for a while) so I run through Taco Bell for my son (bad Mom teaching bad habits I know) and did not get anything for me. Did not even think to get a glass of water because my bottle was pretty close to gone. We then drive to the car dealership...

Took longer than I though, and we did not get home until after 3pm...and I had finished my water by about 1pm.... =(  As soon as we got home I ate a few bite sized meatballs and did grab another bottle of water, and then of course we took the car out again....

Get home and immediately start cleaning the house....and get lightheaded a DIZZY and feeling really pukey. First time I have felt this way post-sleeve.

So, needless to say, I am not sure what caused it: lack of eating until 3, dehydration, or lack of prilosec. Either way, it had a way of reminding me that I need to take better care.

(PS we traded in my Explorer on a 2011 Fusion with all the bells and whistles..love it!)

Well YEAH on the new car..YIPEEE!!

Your story sounds familar AND I am home most of the time LOL

Best to carry water at ALL times and something to eat. I take protein drink if I am going to be away for a bit.

Lessons.. hard lessons..but we learn them don't we? LOL

Hugs, Jan

I had my sleeve on 9-14-11 also!  Today I ended up having an unexpected busy day with my grandkids and daughter in law needing me and I didn't eat much all day. Had about 1/4 cup tuna salad at 12n and then nothing bu****er until about 8p.  Then I tried pureeing some chicken and had a little bit, and then ended up in the bathroom with diarrhea.  Ugh.  After that settled down, I had some greek yogurt and I'm feeling a little better. Have to plan better and figure out what  to eat and be more prepared. Does anyone know of a "sample" type diet for sleevers??

I can definitely relate especially to the water part if the day is busy :( We just have to keep reminding ourselves to prepare prepare prepare! It's so weird having to build all these new habits. No more chugging water to make up for not drinking in hours. I hate that!
Hi I'm Diana! I'm 5'10 and hoping to get down to 165 :) Feel free to friend me!

My Monday was a bad day in my sleeve as well! I woke up and decided to have a protein drink instead of an egg or whatever. Well shortly after I started feeling nauseas and light headed... Called in "late" to work. Wasn't scheduled till 2pm but went in at 5pm instead. I was drinking water at home and tried some applesauce later in the afternoon. When I got to work I had about half a small rotisserie chicken thigh. Well I must have eaten it to fast because it came right back up! Yuck! More nausea, light headedness.... Had two clients to massage. Not sure how I made it but I did, then had to stay late for our monthly meeting. Terrible Monday... Yesterday I stuck to mostly nutrient rich liquids but no protein shake. Felt pretty good!
