transitioned to last phase, yea!
I can't believe it's been a little over 6 weeks since surgery! I had my 6 week follow up with the surgeon and the nutritionist yesterday. I can now use the weight machines at the gym, along with the cardio ones. I am also now on the Phase 5 plan for eating, which is still high protein and low carb, but adds a lot more fiber and variety of foods. I was starting to get very hungry 2-3 hours after a meal, which the NUT said happens if you stay on the soft food plan, so I guess my body was telling me it was ready for the next step. I ate broccoli with my protein last night and it went down fine. This morning I had blueberries with breakfast and it was ok too. I am now starting to plan ahead again, as I was in a routine with the soft food plan, so that I continue to make good choices, and not eat on the fly which gets me in trouble.
Thanks! I lost more than 1/2 of the dropped weight before surgery, so since 8/22, my loss is 23.3 lbs. I feel great and am pleased with how things are going. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that I need more clothes that fit and don't want to spend a lot of money. Oh, poor me - not! LOL
