well i'm a little over 6 weeks out. i believe, unfortunately, that i have hit that dreaded 3 week stall. i have been the same weight for 2 weeks now, and its so frustrating. i know it happens to everyone, but i was sure id be the lucky person who it didnt. i was losing like a pound a day up until this stall. maybe more certain weeks. does this 3 week stall only happen ONCE in this journey for the first 6 months or year? how many stalls are we gonna have that're expected? also, how is there someone out there who's a few months out who has a week to week progression of their loss? i havent been writing down what i gain/lose each week and im gonna start doing it. thanks to whoever responds :-)

By the tracking on OH I can go and look at weekly loss...

I had a 3 week long stall at the 3 week mark.. then I have had a few other stalls along the way.. never as long as the first one though.. that is an individual basis though.. some people eat more carbs/calories.. some dont work out. Some people it is just their body holding on..

I stalled my 2nd week for about 9 days then lost 4lbs on the 10th day, its crazy Ive just quit worrying about it my body does what it wants, if I change one thing, like stop drinking my shakes or dont get my fluids in I dont loose my body does not like changes, even when I dont loose I loose inches dont know how that happens but, oh well. I know that with what Im able to eat I cant do anything but loose, so Ive put my scales away I only weigh once a week. I was becoming a slave to my scale. I know its discouraging but hang in there, it maybe a roller coaster but its a ride. your doing great! Congrats! Stay on course! We will get there!

Serious question: are you getting your protein in? At 6 weeks there was no way for me to eat anything snacky like that.. I still will very rarely have an olive or two, in between meals.. but, I have very limited space, so if it isn't nutritive, isn't going in there!

right now Im not eating much that is not protein, today for B= protein shake
L= 3oz grilled chicken
D= ??? prob more chicken
if I dont have enough protein in Ill have another shake in the evening.

I eat alot of cheese, cheddar, swiss, and cottage.

but I dont have much room for what is not going to give me protein. I do drink low sodium V8 juice and oj once in a while. be careful of salt and make sure you are drinking your fluids. good luck I hope this helps.

I have my weekly losses on my OH blog page.. I never hit what I'd call a stall, but there are weeks I don't lose, or even posted a gain.. for many, this is a lose some, hold (possibly gain some water weight) then lose again deal. I stay on plan, and my losses were fairly predictable early-out, now they are very erratic. Just this last 5 days I have dropped 8.5 lbs.. now, I'm sure some was water weight based on my food log (some higher sodium stuff) but I will frequently hold or gain for 10 or more days, then have a rapid drop..

So long answer, pauses/stalls/plateaus will happen when they happen.. it's up to you to not allow scale frustration to spin you out of your plan. If the scale bugs you, do not weigh frequently.. if it doesn't bug you, it's nice to see patterns, and see the effects certain things have on your system.. kinda like a science experiment of one. I record my daily weight on my food log, alter my ticker on OH if I post a new low, and record Tues weights on my calendar and blog.

Hello, I hit my stall early. Mine hit at about 2 weeks but thankfully, it only lasted about 5 days. To break it, I increased my water intake and that seemed to work. Good luck breaking your stall!

I'm 5 1/2 weeks out and have been in a stall for over two weeks.  It is SO frustrating! I'm doing what I am supposed to, eating the right soft foods, and generally getting as much fluids as I am supposed to - sometimes it's hard to get 64+ ounces, but I always get pretty close if I don't get there.  I just have to trust the tried-and-true methods and hope the stall ends sooner rather than later.  I know I am not eating enough calories to maintain my current weight, and I am seeing losses in inches, I just wish that scale would budge!!!
