7 weeks post op update
Hey friends :-)
I'm 7 weeks out today. i was in a stall for 2 weeks!
But i weighed in this morning and was down 3 pounds. I hope i keep losing, and have broken that dreaded stall! I am doing pretty good. I started in a size 28pants/3X shirt. I'm currently wearing very baggy 26's, so i think i need to go down again to a 24. and a 2X shirt fits well now. I know a couple of my slider foods and am avoiding them. great thing is about this tool, even if i wanted a million ounces of my favorite food, i can only take 2 bites and im stuffed. that was my problem before surgery; portion size. i threw up my lunch today. i was babysitting and had 2 small organic chicken nuggets. didnt even finish the 2nd one before i felt sick and ran to the toilet and threw up 4 times.
yuck!
Thats the 2nd time I have thrown up eating breaded chicken. My stomach just cant handle it right now. No more of that for awihle! Sweets make me feel sick, which i thought was only the case for RNYers. But, its a good thing cause it makes me not wanna eat them
. I joined Curves, and im trying to go at least 3 days a week. My parents are going on our annual vacation to the mountains (which i havent been on in like 2 or 3 years) in a couple weeks. I wanna go but i dont have enough money to go
. Even if i did, i still wouldnt be able to ride most of the rides at my weight and eating would be difficult. Im excited to go next year though, where i was ride every ride as many times as i want, and not worry about my weight stopping me. I'm getting my vitamins in and tryin to get as much protein in as i can. I feel nausiated right now, but i'm not sure why. i am constantly tired.
i figured i would have more energy at this far out, but the last 2 weeks i have gotten easily drained. i guess my body is tryin to get used to only consuming small amounts of calories and the fast weigh loss. hopefully ill get some enery back soon. other than that, everything is going great. i've lost almost 50lbs in 7 weeks. i think im doing pretty good.
thats 50 pounds that wouldve taken months to take off before surgery, and i woulda pout it right back on in a couple months plus another 20. I thank God, my surgeon, and family for this wonderful tool i have been given to make myself healthy and happy :-) next week, once i get my new camera, ill post 2 month pictures :-)

Hello,
I had surgery they day after you and our starting weights are pretty close. I haven't weighed myself because it's to early for me to obsess about the scale. I had complications due to a leak and have a internal stint so I can't eat yet only liquids for me. I'm suppose to get the stint out next week and will be able to start eating again. I to can't wait to learn what works and doesn't work concerning food. I also so understand wanting to go on the vacation but next year it will be so enjoyable. A vacation was actually the final straw in my decision to get this surgery. Last year I visited my brother in Virgina Beach with my best friend and our kids. We went to DC for a day and it was so hard keeping up with everyone. My feet and ankles started swelling and I couldn't enjoy the awesome sights we were seeing. As soon as I'm at a more healthy weight I've promised my 12 year old son we are going on vaction and going to Orlando to Disney and Univeral Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter. By then I know the walking isn't going to bother me and I will be able to fit on all the rides with my son.
Even with the complications I know this surgery is going to open up a whole new world to me and my weight will no longer hold me back and I know you are going to experience the same thing.

aw thanks! i hate that you got a leak. but glad that you didnt get sick from it, its controlled, and you're on your way to healthy! i bet you cant wait to get that stint out and eat real food. my new tummy surely does let me know when it dont like something, so if you're anything like me, youll learn quick! i have always had an obsession with my weight. When dieting, it was my only determination of success. So now im obsessed with weighing myself. I know i shouldnt and i wish i could be as strong as you!! My family went over the summer to orlando/disney/harry potter and said it was a blast. again, i didnt go, but i definitely will next year, and ill be able to enjoy it! congrats and keep up the good work :-)
i never thought about checking online for used pants LOL. i went to the local salvation army a couple times, and had luck finding a few shirts, but NO luck finding pants! the highest size i found was like a size 18. im sure as we lose weight, itll be easier to find clothes used/cheaper! thanks so much :-)
