Hard time eating lately
I am about five weeks out and I seem to have a hard time eating protein the last two days... everything either foams or gets me uncomfortable feeling in the stomach after the first few bites. I can do carbs just fine and all my liquids...but my stomach seems to protest when I feed it protein or even protein shakes. Has anyone experienced this? Do out sleeves get finicky sometimes?

Yes I have trouble with protein too. I find that some are easier than others. I should buy stock in string cheese! Pork goes down easier, and fish. Any fish really. It is still hard for me to eat chicken and beef so I eat them about once a week to give my sleeve practice. Give it time

My stomach protested protein shakes at 2 weeks after surgery. Had to buy different kinds of protein until found a couple that agreed with me.
Healthy n fit egg protein from vitamin shoppe agrees with me and unflavoured unjury. The flavoured unjury does not agree with me.
As i get further out i will retry the proteins that didn't agree with me.. they are cheaper and better tasting!

Yes - my stomach is so finicky! One week I can eat lunch meat/cheese roll up everyday sometimes twice a a day.... now I can't even stomach the sight of lunch meat and cheese (and it tastes bad too). So weird how quickly your tastes change from week to week. right now my sleeve loves meatballs and ground turkey w/taco seasoning. LOL Keeps you on your toes to try new foods.
