why cant i do this right?
I loss for a week then do not. I loss nothing for 7 day but I still keep going I follow what frisco said to do, and if I mess up then next day I tell my self it a new day lets eat better. I have been loseing about 10 pounds a month. So just keep trying some time feel if your clothes are fitting better or your loseing inches. If I can do it any one can.

My suggestions
1. I have been using a protien drink called ProtiDiet Protien. No after taste and it taste like crystal light.
2.Walk as much as you can !
3.Stay away from the candy and salty foods. Salt makes the body retain water.
4.You have to Believe in yourself and make a promise to yourself to lose weight and make better choices. Alot of people dont realize that wieghtloss is more than just the weight . there is a mental portion of why we get big that has to be addressed also.
Hopefully this helps a little

I think ou already know what you are doing wrong, and if ou are asking for a kick i the ass to get back on track, the here is your kick. Put your big girl pants on and stick with it and you will see results. Stalls happen, your body is adjusting, and if you follow a sensible plan with out candy and doritos you will find success.
I am in my second stall and have resigned myself to being a stair step loser. Life will not stop if the scale does not move, but life may stop if I continue the bahaviors that resulted in my obesity to begin with. Choose to domthe right thing and you will succeed.

I don't cook much. Here are some things that are better choices that don't require much if any work:
Tuna or tuna salad. I even buy pouches of Starkist ready made tuna salad, how lazy is that?
Canned chicken to make chicken salad. Throw in some mayo and the dried chopped onions from the spice aisle. Make a whole can, measure out the portions.
Jack Links beef steak in the 1 oz packages. That's a perfect serving, throw a bunch of these in your purse. No more than one serving a day because they're high in sodium.
Get some deli ham and/or turkey. Roll it up and eat two pieces. Or wrap one piece around a slice of cheese.
Cheese sticks or the Babybel cheese balls (they're just so CUTE)
One serving a day of up to 28 almonds (I eat 14). They make all kinds of cool flavors, but some are higher in carbs. I like the Smokehouse and Honey Dijon.
Hard boiled eggs or egg salad. Buy a half dozen eggs with a while until their expiration date and boil all of them at once. Just put them in cool water, bring them to a rolling boil, cover, turn off and put away when they're cool. They finish cooking as they sit there. Easy peasy.
Kick the sunflower seeds and candy out of your house and your life. Focus on eating protein foods. It'll get to be a habit after a while, but you're going to have to work at it first.
Good luck.

I can only tell you about myself, in the Federal Express version. I am a food addict, I am a compulsive overeater, and I have this disease that tells me to eat foods that I *know* are very bad for me. I don't know if you are, but I think many of us *****ach the point where we have surgery have some seriously messed up issues with food going on.
My heart goes out to you. And you have to get a handle on this now, because what you're experiencing is something surgery doesn't fix.
Frisco gave you a really good food plan. My "words of wisdom" would be to follow it, and I'm not saying it will be easy. I'm saying, follow it even when you want to eat compulsively. Eating compulsively feeds the addiction, and while it is hard at first, trust that it will get easier. You are not denying yourself by not eating candy or Doritos, you are denying your food addiction which wants to kill you.
And what is this food that is "fast, cheap and easy"? You risked your life to have this surgery, and you are worth having quality food, exactly what your body needs. Plan ahead. Make sure you have plenty of foods around that are on your plan (low-fat cheese sticks, prepackaged low-fat tuna salad, these things are portable). Weigh and measure, one day at a time.
When you want to eat off plan, accept the feeling and see what else is going on. I use food to help me when I feel deprived. Problem is, Doritos don't fix deprived! They numb the feeling and in six hours, or the next day, I feel deprived again. Reach out for help to someone you trust when you want to eat off plan, write about it in your journal, but do what you need to do just for to day to follow your food plan.
I am sending you good thoughts...
Everything I eat is fast and easy :) FYI, I think sesame seeds ARE good for you, if you just eat one serving and log them. Don't they have protein, fiber AND healthy fats in them?
Here is my advice:
- buy only fast, easy, healthy foods
- pack your lunch/snack for work
- log EVERYTHING you eat, even if you have a bad day
- eat protein first, no matter what. If you are still hungry after your 1-2 ounces of protein, then have fruit, veggies, or whatever. I sometimes have a carb following the protein, but I only do this rarely
- Do not eat more often than every 3-4 hours!
- Only have a snack if you are at your 3-4 hour mark and HUNGRY!
Things I eat that are fast and easy, with protein in them:
- Chunks of frozen chicken that cook up in 1 minute microwave
- Chunks of frozen steak that cook up in 1.5 minutes in the microwave
- Turkey Pepperoni (uncooked, or microwaved with shredded cheese on top)
- Frozen Meatballs with 1/4 cup marinara (cooks up in the microwave in a minute)
- half of a boca burger with half of a low fat slice of cheese on it
- Cheese sticks
- Babybel cheese
- Cottage cheese
- Soy nuts
- Beef jerky
- Greek yogurt (with some strawberies in it)
These aren't high in protein, but sometimes I feel like my body is craving fruit:
- Pomegranate
- little cups of fruit like manadarin oranges, pears, peaches
- 2 strawberries

Your fear of failure will turn into a reality of failure if you continue what you are doing. Sure everyone slips up but you are so early out to be sabotaging yourself like this. There's a couple of things which go along with this surgery. One of them is being prepared. Sure if when it's lunch time you go to the local store to see what you feel like you are going to run into problems. those are the types of things you take out of the equation. I find myself cooking on the weekend for the week. do i like this? no but i do know that wandering down food aisles and seeing what is quick and easy is what got me to have my organ chopped out in the first place. I know you are young and you've better things to do than be in the kitchen on Saturday, but if you just do this for another six months or so maybe you can let up then but not now. As far as the scales go, you can't rely on them for your mood and as an excuse to put bad things in your mouth. You are losing well and making progress. Don't defeat yourself. Hope this helps.
The only words of wisdom i have for you, is maybe u are on ur stall but even if the numbers arent going down on the scale, u are prolly losing inches. My reasoning behind this is, my coordinator at my drs office told me the same thing, i was on a stall for about 3weeks, until this morning... ive only lost 2 lbs. But anyways my point is, ur body is gaining muscle n losing inches while on ur stall.. So dont worry.. worrying only makes it worse.. Good luck!! I have cheated on my diet as well, few pieces of candy, and other food i shldnt have.. Im trying, and thats all u can do.. Dont beat urself up, u will make it out of ur stall.
