I've decided I am celebrating the weeks along with the months so i can look forward to more things! as slow a recovery as i have had, i look back and still can't believe where i am right now.  i am down 25 pounds since surgery and 42 pounds from my pre op diet on 9/1.  i am starting to feel different, not as uncomfortable in my own skin.  feel like i can breathe easier while walking, feel like i don't have to move the fat around to sit down comfortably.  find myself sitting in weird positions i wouldn't have been able to get in with all the extra pounds i had on me.  i've lost 5 gallons of milk (i love putting it into that perspective!).

WTG Jessica!! Or, I prefer to use sack of potatoes as visuals - go to the grocery store and try to pick up four 10-lb. bags of potatoes -- THAT is what is missing from your body right  now!! You're doing fantastic, can't wait to get on the loser's bench myself - looking forward to your updates!! I do agree with you - weeks can be celebrated as much as months! Every week that passes by you is an accomplishment!!!

Best wishes for continued success!!

Your doing great Jessica! I have been following your posts since our surgery dates are just a day apart. My body is also thanking me for shedding the extra pounds. Daily life is so much easier not lugging around an extra 37lbs. Can you imagine what it's going to be like when are down 100lbs?!

i can't imagine 100 lbs!  that's the scary thing!  I also have less than 100 pounds left to lose, and tha't s such a huge thing for me (no pun intended. lol).  i feel like it's "doable" now.

congratulations to you as well!  what types of foods are you eating now?

I eat eggs, tuna and chicken salad, lots of string cheese, turkey lunchmeat, geek and light yogurt. I have been cleared to eat these things since 1 week out so i'm really getting bored with it all. A couple days ago I ate stew meat that was really tender and even though my sleeve liked it better than chicken, i haven't had it again since I'm not cleared for it yet and I felt guilty afterwards and I'm done feeling guilty about food.
How about you, what do you eat and how much?
