What a great capture of your experience.  I had surgery on 10/18 so I'm just behind you.  I had the band removed and am already so much happier with the sleeve.  I choked on the band all the time... Always stuck.  It's funny now when I'm eating slow and concentrating, my hubby and daughter ask "are you stuck?". I'm so glad to be able to say "no, just eating slow". So much better!!!!

Keep us posted!

Oh Keen, that stuck food thing really bothered me about the band.  I truly hope that the sleeve keeps working for you.  Day one of soft foods down.  It was nice being full on so little but enjoying it so much.  Best to you and your sleeve too!

Thank u!  We went to Monterey this weekend so I had to eat out.  I was so nervous, but opted for a cup of soup at each.  I did have clam chowder, but just souped up a very small bit the cream base.  Also drank the soup base from minestrone at a different restaurant.  We had to stop at the famous Pea Soup Andersens on the way there and back.  Best pea soup ever!!!  And 9 grams of protein so it's pretty good.  I also brought my protein drinks and applesauce.  Excited to find I really like the Starbucks passion iced tea with 1 sweet and low (no caffeine, plus it felt like a treat! Just have to remind myself not to use a straw!)

I'm learning to enjoy being full so fast and not needing as much.

Wishing you the very best!!

It is a stomach bug.  Here is a paste of a real description:

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium that causes chronic inflammation of the inner lining of the stomach (gastritis) in humans. This bacterium also is the most common cause of ulcers worldwide. H. pylori infection is most likely acquired by ingesting contaminated food and water and through person to person contact. In the United States, 30% of the adult population is infected. (50% of infected persons are infected by the age of 60.) The infection is more common in crowded living conditions with poor sanitation. In countries with poor sanitation, 90% of the adult population can be infected. Infected individuals usually carry the infection indefinitely unless they are treated with medications to eradicate the bacterium. One out of every six patients with H. pylori infection will develop ulcers of the duodenum or stomach. H. pylori also is associated with stomach cancer and a rare type of lymphocytic tumor of the stomach called MALT lymphoma.
