My 15 suckiest things about WLS
First let me say how grateful i am that I have lost so much...so far....that being said....heres my list.
1. Trying to keep your underwear up.
2. Belts become a necessity because buying a bunch of new clothes is not an option til goal and belts make me look like linked sausage.
3. Loss of major boobage This is a big one...Major bummer!!
4. The formerly fluffy parts become puddles...butt puddles, boob puddles, gut puddle, inner thigh puddles, chin puddle. :(

6. logging every single calorie for the rest of your life.
7. Skinny people that have never been overwieght calling themselves fat while gobbling up a feast.
8. Drinking a ridiculous amount of plain H2o every single day.
9.Knowing that when u poo the scale always moves down generously and waiting for it for days.
10. 850 calories a day....seriously think about it ...ugh!!!
11.The 2 week stall after you have a real drink and two bites of cheesecake.
12. The delicious smell of your coworkers real lunch.
13. People looking at you crazy when you heat up your 1/2 cup of soup for lunch.
14. The phrase "one bite wont hurt you".

Hi,
LOL -thanks for sharing! I am still pre-op but planning to have surgery very soon- so this is what I have to look forward to!!! I also had to respond because I am also Michele N (only 1 " l" ) and your surgery was actually the day after my birthday- what a coincidence!

.Hi: Michelle
Do you have regrets about having done your surgery?
Please keep us informed.
Ten.,
It is easy to see the "crappy" things, it really is, we all suffer from those, but I have not come across anyone that regreted it, except the regret of waiting to do the surgery. '
it is soo life changing, and with all things you get things that suck-, like hair loss, or nausea, just starting to enjoy your meal after two or three bites and then not being able to eat anymore, ecspecially when its something that is tasting sooooo wonderful..... BUT the reward is soooo worth it at the end, we will put up with all of these things with a huge smile!!!
BEst of luck!!!!

Stephanie isnt it good that we can laugh about it though :P
Tenacious...I have ZERO regrets...I love my sleeve. My list is 95% out of fun
My only true regret is not doing it sooner. The bad stuff is from losing weight and my skin not being as elastic as it used to be. But I feel a million times better and Im only a lil over halfway to my goal.

Hi: Michelle Thanks for clearing up the regret part. My Motto in life is "Time is the Master " I live by this quote. All friends that have had vsg surgery or will have surgery will soon find out how important time really is in healing. That is why I'm looking into everything concerning vsg surgery. Reading these stories makes it easier for me to prepare for my own surgery. I'm 250 lbs, my goal is 150 lbs, but my belly skin may be a problem. I will be doing this surgery for health reasons, diabetes, high blood pressure and some other conditions.
Thank You for sharing your story.
Still looking good, stay strong.
