The 8 th was my day!I was in the OR @ 6:45. On the floor by 11:30 up walking by noon. spent the night. Supper was about 3 bites of jello. Breakfast tray milk coffie jello and pudding! They told me to pick one or two thing and not to try and eat it all just afew bites! (LOL) About 3 bites of pudding and it felt like someone SOCKED me in the gut. By 1 pm I was home. There is truly no place like home. I am to eat every 2 hours 3 ounces of soup or 3 ounces greek yoguart, or 3 ounces protien drink. and sip h2o at least 20 ounces a day. So far no N/V just the pain in my gut when I eat or drink. I am just going slow and if feel dicomfot I wait awhile for the next bite or drink. I can take a hour to eat 3 ounces of yougart. The pain is not realy that bad just enought to let me know STOP THAT!

It's interesting to see so many different post-op diets.  For instance our center [a center for Bariatric excellence] suggests only clear liquids for 2 WEEKS to heal the sleeve appropriately.  It's good to go slow.  Maybe try clear broths, jello, sugar free popcicles etc....

Thanks to everyone. The pain I think is when I try to swallow to fast or to much.So far tody I have 20 ounces of h2o down and 60 grams of protien. seem like the water is the hardest to deal with. Jewish Kenwood is a center for bariatic execellence in Cincinnati. My insurence said my copay woould be less if I went there. Which was good cause that is where I wanted to go. Still no N/V
