Rambling on about how weightloss has changed at 7 mos out

I had been pretty consistant at losing an average of 3 lbs a week, up until a little after month 6. Now, my average is more like 1-2 lbs a week... I'm not complaining though, just sharing Instead of losing a little every day, I may lose 2 one day, gain back 1.5, then lose 1, etc. Not a real stall, I guess, since in the end, I end up losing at least a little every week.

I am working out more than ever now, and I'm sure that impacts the scale. I have to say, classes at the gym and running are SO much easier now, then when I weighed 50+ more pounds

My diet is a little different now than it was a few months ago. On days that I work out, I have 800-1000 calories. On days I don't, I try to keep it under 800. Also, per my labs, I was supposed to increase my protein... so now I try to have 80+ grams a day instead of the 60+ that I was having before. I'm also including a little carbs (half cup of grapes after I have my one ounce of protein) in my pre-workout afternoon snack, so that I have a little more energy at the gym. I still only eat at designated meal/snack times, and always eat my protein first. I also weigh & record my meals.

I do have the fear of "what if I stop losing now"? I try to not let it bug me. Until I go a few months without losing anything, I know that I really shouldn't worry about it too much... However, it's still scary... It's so hard to not compare myself to others (like my friend who had the RNY and went from a size 24 to a size 4/6 in 9 months). I really wish I could see into the future to see what I'll be like in a few years

Keep doing what your doing it seems to be working for you ! Congrats on how far you have already come. The weight you still want to lose will come off , I have no doubt . We are each individual , try not to compare with others . ( I know thats hard , I do it too !!) Enjoy each wonderful day we have been given. Good luck on your continued journey , it's such a blessing!

Thanks so much for this report from "further out."  You are doing great!

While I too sometimes fear the weightloss has stopped or is going to, I'm actually really glad I'm not losing any faster.  There's a limit to what my brain can process, and getting as small as your friend in 9 months would probably make my head explode.  Heck, just getting to a size 4/6 would make my head explode!

I *hate* wearing clothes that are too big.  I had a wardrobe all the way from 230-290 (18w to 26w).  I'm at 221 now and about a 16w.  So I have picked up a few things from the Salvation Army and eBay.  I get ver depressed to be in clothes that don't fit, and it draws attention to the weight loss (which I don't like).

Shopping is fun!!

I agree with you Happy966. I hate wearing clothes that are too big for me as well. I refuse too. I don't want to look shabby during my weight loss. You are so right  you look so shabby and disheveled with too big/baggy clothes. I prefer to look well put together at all times and you can't do that with clothes hanging off of you. Besides I am happy to get rid of too big clothes that gives me an excuse to get some more, however I only shop extreme clearance like last weekend at old navy I got three shirts and a pair of pants for $13.XX. You can't beat that.

I agree, baggy clothes make me feel and look dumpy and depressed! Walmart works really well for me.
