I had my sleeve done on Monday with Dr. Neff. He is AMAZING by the way! I did well & came home Tuesday. All is going well and I feel pretty good but, I am feeling bloated. I am taking all my protein & liquids as slow as I need to not gulping or swigging or using a straw. Could this be normal? Is it from the anestesia? Any opinions are appreciated greatly! Thanks everyone!

Hello, congrats on your surgery!! I was sleeved Oct 24th and I was definitely bloated the first week. It is from the IV fluids they pump into you the entire time. It shall pass!

I am seeing that I am not the only one. I sort a figured it was from the anestesia & IV but, I just get nervous so thought I would put it out there! THanks for the congrats! I am feeling pretty good aside from the bloating.

Most likely you are retaining fluids from the IV and then there is also the gas they pump into you to expand your abdominal cavity so they can see things better.  The best thing to help the gas is to walk (nothing strenous - just wandering will do)

When I walk it does seem to help but, I am stuck in the house the past few days I think tomorrow will be a walk to school with the kids to try and get this OUT! LOL
