When did you start to get that full feeling?

I haven't experienced it yet.. in the hospital I'd have maybe a tbsp of jello and about half cup of soup and then juice or water but I never really felt full.
I'm wondering if that's cuz it's liquid and I won't really get that sensation til I get into more solid lasting foods??
I def don't feel hungry often inbetween.. I only have really felt hungry and that was just today, when it was one and I hadn't had my soup yet I did have that hungry feeling along with some pain.. I think my tummy was not liking the gurgling feeling.

I can remember those first few weeks wondering if I would really feel full and honestly as soon as I started the mashies stage I was full all the time! Then my worry was that I would never get enough in but it works out

Yes, it's because you're on liquids. You won't feel real restriction until you start eating solids. Good luck to you!

I really didn't feel restriction until I started on soft foods.  I remember being hungry all the time on the purees (mushies).

Jill,
You may be hungry , some of us myself included never lost the hunger, but it is not anything like beofre where you won't get full.
You will be very satified with a few ounces...

Have faith,. You will do fine!

When did you have it done?  I remember my doc saying it was because you are numb and it will take a few weeks/months to get all the feeling back to all the nerves that were cut.

Thanks for this post, RubyTues! I am 2 days post-op and just now got my soup and apple juice. I am terrified that I am going to drink to fast  and have it all come back up! Now, my juice is hot and my soup is cold! lol

You all bring back memories of my first days post-op. I asked the doc the very same thing because I could also drink quite a bit pretty quickly. But, as others said--as soon as the food started, it became very obvious-a little bit and I feel stuffed. Interestingly, when I am out w/ others now and see how much others eat, I feel kind of shocked they can eat so much...I just instinctively know that I can't eat a fraction of it. Good luck to you!

I think I felt full after those refried beans last night :) I am also afraid of eating or drinking too much, granted I am still in the puree stage but I'm slowly getting over it. I drink my liquids a sip at a time and only eat 2 oz. of pureed food at a time. I guess if you always undereat you'll never over eat. But still no hunger for me.
