5 Months - Facial Progress Pic

I must say I love my sleeve!  Yesterday made 5 months post-op and I am down 71 pounds since I started my pre-op liquid diet and 82 pounds from my highest of 357 pounds!   My clothing size has dropped from a size 28 jean to size 22 closing in quickly on a 20.  I'm not the fastest loser, but I'm losing right on track for me !    I've included a facial pic from my highest to now.

This morning I registered for my first ever 5K race for February!  My goal is to run the entire length of the race, besides the warm up.  This is a major goal for me and will hopefully be the one of many goals I achieve on this journey.

Thanks for all of your comments!!! You all are so sweet :)

@Michelle J - I wouldn't say I'm a runner just yet :)  I started slow and just continue to work up my speed and distance.  The couch to 5K program is really helping with that.  I started on the treadmill walking at 2.5 - 2.8 and jogging at 3.5, then moving up to jogging at 4.0 and moving up from there week to week.  I would suggest go at your own pace.  But in the end, it's all about just getting up, trying it out and just doing it!  You never really know what your body is capable of until you put it under a little pressure and I'm sure you'll surprise yourself :)

You look great!

How did you get into running.  Our weights are similar, and I'm terrified of hurting my knees (my mom has had both replaced, and we already know I have mild arthritis.)

You look great and doesn't it feel great to see those clothing sizes go down? I can't wait for that (1/6/12)!
As a big girl who actually loves to work out and run. Your goal of running a 5K should be an insiration to all of us! I remember after "learning" to run again...the first time I ran a 5K on a treadmill, I broke down crying. I would have NEVER thought I could do it, but I did it and you can too! :) Good luck to you!
