Two belly buttons?

Got my staples removed by my fam doc today, I knew the one largest incision was going to be not as neat as the others but when he took them out and I looked down I was queasy.. the skin didn't heal together so I have this opening that looks like a vertical belly button.  I questioned it and my doc said oh well, sometimes that does that and it may heal back together still.. I thought I should have a steri strip or something but he never offered anything. Even said I could bathe but not goinna do that.. and risk it  opening even more  
I got hubby to put a bandaid on it  really tight but it only stayed til I moved LOL
I don't see my surgeon til the 28th so not sure if there's anything I could do. I wish I could just get a stitch or two in it.

I'd call the surgeon for advice in the morning... personally I'd have badgered my PCP, lol, but if I were you I'd head down to the drug store and pick up some steri strips for the night... i don't think it can hurt....

Hmm... don't know anything about that. I know there is a liquid bandage product available at the store. Maybe try that if the opening worries you.

I too have a hole there.  It has been leaking like crazy.  I have been using non-stick gauze pads in my belly button to collect the leakage.  It has slowly been closing up and slowing down on the leaking.  Check with your surgeon and be patient!
