My BMI was 42 when I started to lose weight back in April. By the time I had my orientation it was down to 40. By the time I went for surgery it was 38. Can't you submit your original weight rather than what you weigh currently? My insurance covered me on my starting orientation weight, not my surgery weight. Just thinking.....

My BMI at starting weight was 37.2, but they should do my surgery due to high blood pressure. Just trying to keep a positive outlook on the whole thing and good news will come.

Tell them you shrank, you're 5'4" now because the weight of your tummy makes you stoop or something. ;) I don't know, I hope they change the denial, it sounds promising to me but I'm not an insurance company.
I am exact same height and weight as you but I will be a revision from the band which must come out, so I'm hoping they don't care about my BMI right now, still waiting for insurance approval though.
My Dr. told me to try to lose another 10 lb in the next month so I'm guessing it won't be a problem.

I would not want to re-gain 26 lbs either. Crossing my fingers for you!!
