CPAP
You'll have to check with the doctor on the smart stick. That varies. Keep using it right up until surgery, and take it to the hospital.
I'll tell you a dirty little secret though: once you're in the hospital after surgery, they can't force you to use it. I refused my CPAP the night of surgery and haven't used it since. What were they going to do at that point, put my stomach back in?
I have been an ultra-compliant patient in every aspect but that one. I hated that CPAP and I will not use it. At this point I doubt I need it any more - hubby says I no longer even snore.

It helped me early on, I slept so much better. As I've lost weight, it had been harder to use. I think my apnea is gone though. My kids say I don't snore.
Take it to the hospital, they will require it but as the other said, use as you see fit. I did not want to disturb my roomie with snoring so I used mine.

I was required to take mine, and they took it and checked something on it. I have no idea what though. They didn't even offer it to me while I was there. (I stayed one night.) I used it for about a month after I came home, but I have been without it ever since. I get the best sleep of my life now!! I
