Bowl Game Trip right after surgery

I am having surgery on Tues Dec 27th, and we will fly out to Arizona on Dec 31st. We are headed to watch the Cowboys in the Fiesta Bowl.  It is a 1 hour 45 minute flight. I have all of my family on board with helping me through this. My Dr. agrees with me flying. I've read where everyone says to make list and lists that will help ease the days after surgery. Any advice from anyone how to better prepare for this.
