Home from surgery and this is how it went and feels

Part of my being able to leave the hospital was to demonstrate that I could tolerate full liquids.  It is a little different for everybody.  No problem today with gettting a shake down, although I did it in 2 ounce incrrements.  I bottle of Isopure Plus down- I could do 8 of these a day if need by- easy easy protein and liquid source.  I had to work harder with the shake.  For dinner I am going to try to do greek yougurt, a little extra whey, and sugar free vanilla syrup.  No hunger at all so far!  No problems getting liquids down either :)

You have absolutely the right attitude about this which is going to make this a very positive experience, imo.

Just do yourself one favor and don't obsess over the scale. Wait 2 weeks to weigh yourself and you won't be on here complaining about no weight loss a week after surgery.

Sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, rest, rest, rest.

You've got it right - fluids first.

Wishing you well and welcome to the Loser's Bench!

Hi Happy Teacher!  You took the words out of my mouth!  I feel great except for the nausea, which was to be expected.  Once I took my ****tail from the anesthesiologist I don't remember a thing until I woke up in recovery where my beautiful daughter was standing waiting for me to come to.  They took me to a room before noon and I forced myself to walk three hours post-op.

So far the nausea has been the worst, my tummy is actually doing well.

Signing off now so I can get in a 10 minute walk- this is really important!

Continue a healthy recovery!  I'll be sitting right next to you on the loser's bench!  GO SLEEVERS!

So glad to read you are doing well New!  You got me beat on the walking- maybe I will try a walk around the block with the hubby.  I am not sure how much would be overdoing it.  Earlier today I had to go to an endocrinologist and my son and I got compltetly lost.  Ended up doing a fair amount of walking due to being lost, but I was none the worse for wear.  You have inspired me- gonna drag the hubby out now!
