Well, I'll be starting my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow and it's my birthday tomorrow!  Arg!  LOL.  Like it has been said before - the end prize is totally worth missing cake on my birthday and champagne on New Years!  There will plenty more to come and especially now that I know I will be losing weight and be healthier for many more years to come.  So, wish me patience...  :)

Happy Birthday -- celebrate with a non-food treat -- pedicure or new earrings.  I'm excited for you and your upcoming surgery and you'll be glad a month from now!

Happy Birthday! I say, knowing you'll be sleeved in 2 weeks, is an excellent birthday present. 2morrow I have to start a low fat, low carb high protein diet with a liquid pre-op diet starting January 1st. My surgery is the 17th. I wish you all the patience and dedication to this pre-op and post-op dieting. Can you send some my way to? Congrats and good luck.

Happy B-day!!  I agree, the end result is so worth it.

I feel your pain; I started my 2 week liquid on Thanksgiving week.  To top it off, dinner was @ my place, so I cooked a full meal and didn't get to eat.

I'm 3 weeks post op and still on the high protein full liquids - cooked Christmas dinner and didn't eat.  After a while you sort of get used to it I guess.

Happy early birthday - and you can do it - I'm finishing up my day 11 - and I'm not going to lie it was a bit hard in the beginning but cheers - it gets easier!!! My best advice - don't eat all your food at once (no more than 1 item) - make it last through out the day!!!

best of luck you to you!!

Don't let yourself get hungry.  Keep slugging down some allowed liquid almost constantly.  Feel a little hunger pang?  Down another shake or glass of Crystal Light or a sf popsicle or sf jello ... or anything that is on your list.  You'll slosh and just about pee yourself to death, but it will do the trick.  Make it feel like a treat to be able to "eat" something all day long.  It felt wonderful after years of telling myself "don't eat, don't eat, don't eat," which of course didn't work.

Best wishes on your journey!

Hi Allison,

I start as well tomorrow. It's good to see all the advice here.

My "sleever" wants be on liquids for 4 weeks after. How about yours?
