2.5 months check in

Today marks right at the six week point.  I'm down 39 lbs since surgery and 90 lbs since I started tracking.  That's about 40% to my current goal weight.  Today I went to the gym and got on the treadmill for the first time in 2 weeks.  My walking speed has increased by 50% since I started.  My stamina was MUCH better and I even had enough energy to use some of the weight training circuit machines.  The stalls are hard but my body is changing rapidly.  Clothes are changing fit seemingly on a daily basis.  People are starting to notice. 

This week I got my A1C blood test back.  It was a 5.8.  My last A1C while I was still on diabetes meds was 6.2.  So I'm lower without any drugs now than I was with them before.  My PCP also cut my BP meds in half.  I check in with him again in six weeks and I might be able to get off BP meds altogether.  That's real health progress my friends.

One big difference from dieting I've done in the past - I look healthy.  I've always been one of those people that get pasty white and have no energy.

 Awesome report!   Thanks for the encouraging update -- those are always good to hear.  Keep up the good work.   It's gonna be a great New Year!
