lettuce??
Please remember that people are stating opinion on these forums. There is very little in the way of medically qualified opinions or fact available here. Talk to your Dr and follow his plan. If he says you are clear, then dont be afraid to dip your toe in the water and try it. If you handle it well, great. If not, then it is something that you just cant have. Your Dr is not going to clear you for anything that is going to put you at a higher risk of damage or injury.
Everyone is different, and everyone's surgeon is different.
If you want to play it cautious (not often a bad idea), you could eat 'most' food now, except for rough, fiberous vegetables which have the potential to be the most physically hard on your stomach. You would wait an additional 1-2 weeks to eat greens and things like broccoli and asparagus, etc.
I've had no problem with lettuce at all, even at 6 weeks, but I know others have.
Good luck!
