It. Is amazing how things feel better every day.
Yesterday I was able to drink water and a protein drink (my poison of choice is Isopure) without any discomfort. finally! I think it is a combination of healing progress and me learning to sip, sip, sip.

My first visit with my surgeon was Friday. (he is a very skilled surgeon and I highly recommend him) I am down 21 lbs the first week. I was saddened tp learn that he wants me on a combination of clear liquids and modified full liquids for three more weeks

I am dying to have something to eat. I am not hungry -it is clearly head hunger and a craving for texture. I have the SF ice pops and jello and have enjoyed the ice pops (jello not too much).

Any suggestions to help me over the next three weeks with texture?

Thx

Before I moved to full liquids and blenderized foods after surgery, I was weak and shaky and I couldn't think straight. I wasn't taking and pain relievers but you would've thought I was high on something. The first thing I "ate" when I was allowed full liquids was cream of mushroom soup. Instantly I felt better and all was right with the world. I think it was the minimal salt in the cream of mushroom soup that really helped me. Also when I was on the pre-op full liquid diet I was allowed yogurt. That is a must have for me also.
