I HAVE MY PSYCH EVAL TODAY, I'M A LITTLE EXCITED AND NERVOUS ALL IN ONE. IT'S THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW THEIR APPOINTMENT WENT?

My psych eval was a big "none event".  The therapist wanted me to understand the emotional connections I have with food, which I do.  The eval cost me $100.   Good luck!

I had to spend the first hour doing a personality test and then an hour of talking about the test and how I felt the surgery would change my life and eating habits.  It was pretty laid back and easy.  Just be yourself.

answered 100 true/false questions, psych asked how I got to where I was...why I want the surgery and he saved the biggest and most important question for last "What do you think the most difficult challenge will be once you've had the surgery?"

I told him that the biggest challenge that I foresee is getting complacent as I got to goal or got close to it. I thought that might make him think i wasn't dedicated but he said being aware of that common downfall shows him I *AM* ready and being honest with myself. Eval was easy.

How long does it take to find out if you passed? Do you find out before you leave the office?
