I am in the "normal" bmi catagory! Yay!
I hit the normal BMI catagory today! I am officially not obese, not overweight, but normal! It was painful for me to see "Obesity" on the problem list of my medical chart in the past. I am 10 lbs. from my personal goal of 135 and I am working hard to get there. I am 5 3/4 months out and I would love to be pretty close to my goal on Jan. 18th. Yay for VSG! I love being able to wear cute clothes now and be able to move so much more easily! 72 pounds gone forever!

Congrats! You lost 72 lbs in only 6 months - WOW! You started as a lightweight too - very impressive. Can I ask what your weight loss was like? Do you exercise? What calorie/carb/protein level did you stay at or did you watch any of them?
I started at 190 with a goal wt of 120 so our stats are similar. I am 5'2". Losing slow - 33 lbs down at almost 3 months. I just cant see getting to where you are - it seems so far away and still doesnt really feel achievable.
Thanks

I've used the Spark People app on my phone to record every bite I've taken since my surgery. I was eating 600-700 calories for the first 3-4 months and about 700-900 during the past few months. I eat at least 60 gms of protein per day and I try to keep my carbs under 60. I don't eat fatty foods so I don't focus much on fat grams. I have been lazy with exercise for the past 6 wks. I was going to the YMCA 3 times a week before that. I am going to start working with wts this week to help my muscle tone.
Congrats on your wt loss and you can get to a normal bmi, too! I'm 5'4" and 56 yrs old...
