Seems like a lot

Tonight my husband measured out 4 ounces of a turkey burger mix with spinach and feta.  I ate all of it.  I was full, but certianly not in pain or feeling the need to vomit.  I dunno, this seems like my stomach can hold a lot for being only 4 weeks out.  No clue what the bougie size is.  What could others eat at this point?

I have no advice as I am too early out, but that sounds DELICIOUS!

I follow the Frisco philosophy and don't eat until I'm full - that's how I got so fat in the first place. I don't know how much I can cram down, and I really don't want to find out. In order to keep this weight off the rest of my life, I don't stop when I'm full - I stop before that point. I undereat the sleeve.

I am right there with you on that Ruggie, and I think Frisco gives good advice on this.  I mindlessly ate too fast is what happened.  I have worked hard at adjusting the rate of consumption, but clearly a little more work needs to be done.  On a happy note, ths was hours ago and I am still very full :)  Calories and carb levels are perfect for the day, so that is not an issue.  Just a little concerned that if I can get down that much so easily at month 1, then what will month 12 be like?

Month 12 will be what you make of it.  You know you can do this!  So you ate 4oz of protein.....not really a big deal.  You also said it lasted you for many hours.  The big thing is that you learned from it....and can make adjustments.

Next time measure out 2oz and eat slower.  If at the end....you are still hungry (true hunger - not head hunger)...then you know to bump it up a bit.  Find your sweet spot.

I'm 14 months out and on a good day, I can eat about 5 oz. total at a meal. Personally, I think 4 oz is too much for a month out. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should, know what I mean? I think about 2 oz is more in line with what you should be at that early on. I would think it might be difficult to stay within the calorie limit if all of your meals are that size.

Are you tracking your intake? If not, you should. It really helps to keep tabs on things that in our "old normal" got way out of control. Just keep this in mind if you find you have difficulty losing...you may need to take stock and readjust what you are eating.

I do track everything.  By the end of the day I will be under 600 calories, under 20 carbs, and 13 grams of fat.  Tomorrow I will cut them in half though.  What you say about our "old normal" is what I am concerned about.  Just not sure if having a day that is entirely on track, but includes the 4 ounce meal, is Ok?

 Ruggie,

The four ounce burger.  Just plan on eating 2 ounces.
