I was the same way... I was actually due to get my cycle around the time of my surgery... but my cycle was also very irregular at the time... I would skip months often... so not getting it didn't suprise me... and it did take about 2 1/2 months for it to make an appearance again post op--for a total of 3 1/2 months late... and woah... that was the heaviest cycle ever... so bad that I almost went to the ER for it... glad I called my PCP before heading there, *****assured me that because of the rapid weight loss I had that it was normal and that my hormones were probably out of whack because of it, to take a deep breath, drink lots of fluids and call him back if it seemed like it was getting worse or I started having problems with fevers or dizziness/lightheadedness (by that time, I was down by about 50 lbs or so).  I must mention that I would have called an OBGYN if I had one but my primary doctor takes care of all of that too and I had hadn't been to one in 5 years after I started seeing my PCP.  My PCP actually followed his patients through pregnancy and delivered babies up until a few years ago when his practice expanded so much that he could no longer do it.    I would recommend that if you are concerned, call your OBGYN.

The first few cycles I got since surgery were quite irregular, now things are starting to get more regular.
