Has he run full panels?  I am on the same amount of Levoxyl that I took at 290lbs. I have felt hypo recently, as well, and I had a full panel run last week.  My TSH and T4 are normal, but my T3 is low I'm not converting T4 to T3 properly. Weightloss, stress, and vitamin deficinecies can all interfere with your conversion of T4 to T3 in the liver. Cortisol production from stress is a major factor, but diet and vitamins can impact as well.  Since T3 is actually the active hormone that controls metabolism, the doctor can up your dosage until the cows come home but it may not impact symptoms if you're not converting the T4 to T3 properly.

It's just another question to ask.

At least with the Armour you are getting T3.  My doctor may start me on a cytomel (T3) supplement short-term until I'm at goal. I have no thyroid function, at all, and I am on a full replacement dose of thyroid hormone.   I have never tried Armour because I've not had an issue with T3 in the past and it's less easy to stablize someone on a full replacement dose with a T4/T3 combo.

Hopefully this is transient. It feels pretty recent because I was losing weight well and then hit a wall.  I'm close to goal, but it's like someone hit the breaks about the time I went into super-overdrive at work, my husband's grandfather went to Hospice, I develope tonsilitis, etc.

My heart rate is in the low 50's, my BP about 100/55, and my body temp is running around 97.  If I don't see some improvement soon, I'll have to go on Armour, as well.

You too! Feel better.  I had RAI therapy for Graves' i*****  They shut my thryoid down completely.

That sluggish, brain is mush feeling sucks. I think what happens when are under-medicated is that the slow-down can be so gradual  we don't notice the symptoms until they kind of bonk us on the head.

Good Luck!

I was on 100mcg of synthroid for 3.5 years and never felt any better--my doc just switched me to Armour cause I have a problem converting T3 to T4 too. I actually feel somewhat better now! :)
