VSG Doesn't Cure Heartburn???

I was on PPI's for years prior to surgery and following surgery my reflux symptoms are constant without PPI's.

I did not have a hernia and my surgeon told me that he would rather see me on PPI's for the rest of my life, than see me deal with the issues that often arise following RNY.

I love my sleeve and would have let them cut me from nose to navel if that's what it took to get to where I am now.

Bottom line- do the research on everything and make a decision on what makes the most sense to you.
